AFTERMARKET & EXTENDED WARRANTIES

Mitchell Motorworks works with many aftermarket and extended vehicle warranty providers. These warranties are agreements between the customer and the warranty provider, and coverage varies by contract. This policy explains how Mitchell Motorworks handles third-party warranty claims and charges that may not be covered by the warranty provider.

WARRANTY COVERAGE & AUTHORIZATION

Warranty coverage is determined solely by the applicable warranty provider and the terms of the customer's contract. Mitchell Motorworks cannot guarantee that a repair, part, labor operation, diagnostic procedure, or other charge will be approved or paid by a warranty provider.

Warranty authorization must be obtained before covered repairs are performed. Authorization from a warranty provider does not replace the customer's authorization to Mitchell Motorworks to perform the repair.

The customer remains responsible for reviewing and understanding the coverage, limitations, deductible, and requirements of their warranty contract.

DIAGNOSTICS, INSPECTION & TEARDOWN

Mitchell Motorworks' normal diagnostic charges apply when determining the cause of a vehicle concern, including concerns that may ultimately qualify for warranty coverage.

Warranty providers may require diagnostic testing, photographs, documentation, disassembly, teardown, inspections, or other procedures before making a coverage decision. These services are billable unless specifically authorized and paid by the warranty provider.

If a warranty provider denies coverage or pays only a portion of the diagnostic or teardown charges, the remaining balance is the customer's responsibility.

LABOR RATES & LABOR TIME

Mitchell Motorworks performs repairs using our established labor rates and applicable labor times or service procedures.

A warranty provider may limit the labor rate, labor time, or specific operations it is willing to pay. Any difference between Mitchell Motorworks' charges and the amount paid by the warranty provider is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

A warranty provider's payment allowance does not establish or modify Mitchell Motorworks' retail labor rate or repair pricing.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is responsible for all charges not paid by the warranty provider. This may include deductibles, diagnostic charges, teardown, differences in labor rate or labor time, non-covered parts, fluids, shop supplies, hazardous-material charges, taxes, shipping, towing, programming, additional required repairs, and other services or materials excluded from warranty coverage.

Warranty-provider payment is applied to the repair order as a third-party payment. The customer remains responsible for the complete repair order balance regardless of warranty coverage or payment.

Any customer-responsible balance must be paid according to Mitchell Motorworks' normal payment terms before the vehicle is released.

WARRANTY-PROVIDER-SUPPLIED PARTS & COMPONENTS

A warranty provider may elect to source or supply its own parts, engines, transmissions, assemblies, or other components rather than purchasing components supplied by Mitchell Motorworks.

When Mitchell Motorworks agrees to install a component supplied by a warranty provider, Mitchell Motorworks is providing installation services and is not the seller, manufacturer, or warrantor of the supplied component.

Mitchell Motorworks does not control the source, quality, availability, shipping, specifications, or warranty terms of components supplied by a warranty provider. Mitchell Motorworks reserves the right to decline installation of a supplied component if it is incorrect, damaged, incomplete, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable for the repair.

Additional parts, fluids, materials, programming, modifications, or labor required to install a warranty-provider-supplied component are not included unless specifically authorized and paid by the warranty provider or customer.

WARRANTY ON PROVIDER-SUPPLIED COMPONENTS

Warranty coverage for a component supplied by a warranty provider is provided by the applicable warranty company, manufacturer, supplier, or distributor and is subject to that provider's terms and claim procedures.

Mitchell Motorworks' workmanship warranty applies to the installation work performed by Mitchell Motorworks, but does not independently warrant a component supplied by a warranty provider.

If a warranty-provider-supplied component later fails, any diagnostic testing, removal, reinstallation, fluids, materials, towing, shipping, programming, or other costs associated with the failure are the customer's responsibility unless specifically covered and paid by the applicable warranty provider.

Mitchell Motorworks will reasonably assist with a subsequent warranty claim when requested, but cannot guarantee approval, replacement, labor reimbursement, or other coverage provided by a third party.

CLAIM PROCESSING & ADMINISTRATION

Third-party warranty claims may require Mitchell Motorworks to communicate with the warranty provider, submit estimates and documentation, provide photographs or diagnostic results, participate in inspections, obtain authorization, or complete other administrative requirements.

Reasonable claim administration associated with an approved repair may be included as part of the service. Excessive administrative time, repeated inspections, additional documentation, teardown, testing, or other requirements beyond the normal repair process may be subject to additional charges when not paid by the warranty provider.

Customers may be required to communicate directly with their warranty provider regarding contract terms, coverage disputes, claim denials, reimbursement, or other matters between the customer and warranty company.

CLAIM DELAYS & PARTS AVAILABILITY

Warranty claims may require prior authorization, inspections, documentation, parts sourcing, or other approval procedures that can delay diagnosis or repair.

Mitchell Motorworks is not responsible for delays caused by warranty-provider authorization, inspections, claim processing, supplied-part availability, shipping, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Estimated completion dates may change while awaiting decisions, parts, or information from the warranty provider.

CLAIM DENIAL OR PARTIAL COVERAGE

If a warranty claim is denied, withdrawn, or only partially approved, the customer may choose whether to proceed with the recommended repair, subject to any charges already incurred for authorized diagnostics, inspection, teardown, parts, labor, or other services.

Any amount not paid by the warranty provider remains the customer's responsibility.
